Jackson Greenspan, 6 months

It’s hard to believe that my newborn is not so new anymore. The past 6 months went by faster than any I can ever remember. Jackson keeps getting bigger and the days keep getting shorter.

The older I get, the faster life seems to wiz by. I’m pretty sure I used to pray to be older and for a day to finally end. Now, I just want one more minute or another week or the past 10 years back. Is life moving faster or is this how it works? Let’s face it, with Twitter and Facebook, what was news moments ago has already been forgotten. But I’m not sure that has anything to do with my problem. I’m just getting older and now I’m watching my children grow. It’s their turn now right?

I’d enjoy hearing your perspective in the comments. The question is: Is life moving faster now or does it simply move faster as you age?

October 21, 2010:

Since writing this post, I’ve enjoyed some amazing discussions with people all over the world. Some believe life is simply moving faster due to the rapid growth of technology and information dissemination. Others, simply believe that we’re just more aware of ourselves as we age. I am starting to think this phenomenon is related to first half vs. second. In our first half of life, we worry less about the future, as we have plenty of time. As we move towards the 2nd half (I’m 42), we start to see it as half over and less time ahead. I’m pretty sure this is a major factor. That said, the lesson learned here…slow down. I’m going to try. As I progress I will update this post. If you have any tips, please provide in the comments.

Will Twitter Aid in the Demise of Facebook?

May 14, 2010

Seems like Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg could soon be living his worst nightmare. I truly hope not as I’m a big FB fan. The air is filled with FB germs right now and he needs to disinfect fast. Additionally, Twitter is powerful enough to bring the whole thing down on its own, IMHO. Here’s evidence it may [...]

Hey Twitter App-makers…Have you heard of the iPad?

May 12, 2010

I’m a big user of Tweetdeck on the PC and Mac. I also use Tweetdeck on my iPhone. Hootsuite is my favorite for iPhone 3.x (crashes in my OS 4.0 beta 3).  But for my iPad…I’ve tried the Tweetdeck for iPad and its missing most of what makes Tweetdeck great elsewhere. It’s a dog so [...]

Twitter Spam in Mentions, Replies and DM: Here’s Why YOU Send Them

February 25, 2010

Curious how you get so many spam messages in Twitter? It’s not rocket science. I just got this one: “hi, i’m 24/female/horny… i have to get off here but message me on my windows live messenger name…” You probably did too. I know @mayhemstudios, @marshacollier and @TopBrokerOC did (thanks you three!). So, how does this [...]

Yesterday, Make It Work got together at our partner South Bay Mini’s offices to discuss our achievements, our challenges and our future…we called it “Launch to the Moon, 2010.” There were 50+ Minis parked in a row, that was cool! It was an amazing day. The team was energized. We ate great food, we chatted, [...]

Social Networking Addiction Bears Fruit

December 5, 2009

I’ve been engaged with social networking for some time now, starting with Myspace and Facebook and just recently (within the last 30 days), Twitter. I’ve jumped on the bandwagon, big time! I have vanity urls setup at just about every site on the web. I love Namechk.com for this. It’s been an amazing experience so [...]
