“Superfriends” to Appear on Food Network via meetup.com

by Eric Greenspan on January 18, 2010

Social networking at it’s finest…

I’m sitting at a local brewery watching football with my wife and friends a month back and I get an email from someone who had just visited my Meetup.com site. I created the site to make new friends and to learn things. I never imagined the Food Network would find me there. Anyhow, I called the producer back and she told me, “We are looking for a meetup group to appear on the Food Network’s new show Private Chefs of Beverly Hills as the client.” In short, private chefs will cook for us during our meetup getaway and we will push them to their limits. Hmmmm….OK!

I reached out to my Superfriends (people much smarter than me) and shared the opportunity with the gang. @marksylvester @palmerjackson @bizmike @johngreathouse @DarylBernstein will be joining me, @ericgreenspan, on January 24th, 2010 as we begin filming the episode in Santa Barbara. Not sure of the air date, but I will post when I know.

Now this is going to be fun. Stay tuned…

Sounds like soooo much fun! What a serendipitous offer and once-in-a-lifetime opportunity! Can’t wait to see the show when it airs.

What a surprise to see you on Food Network, too! I post recipes from http://www.topmomblog.com there. Will look forward to seeing your group of Superfriends on the big screen soon!
